Auditions and Ice Cream

So, it's been awhile.  I'm no good at this regular blogging thing, but, with a few interesting things coming up, hopefully I'll improve.

This morning, I got myself back out into audition world.  I've been sadly slacking on that whole thing because of personal demons that I need to just ignore.  7:40am found me outside of Radio City Music Hall for a singers call.  Wow.  Audition didn't start until 10am, and the line was already nearly down the block!  I was number 79.  Not too bad.  Sadly, no call back, but...I really doubt there were too many available slots since most singers from the previous year return.  As I left around noon, the line of waiting auditioners was STILL all the way down the block.  Crazy!  Needless to say, the auditors can afford to wait for EXACTLY whatever it is they want to see and hear.  The important thing is, I got out and DID it.  On to the next thing...

On the plus side, when I got home and checked the mail, my vendor's license had arrived!  Woo-hoo!  This means, I am all set to go and work on the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck (http://www.biggayicecreamtruck.com/) this summer!  I'm really excited about this.  Doug and Brian are totally awesome, and the people who frequent the truck are a bunch of characters!  It's going to be a very entertaining summer at the very least.  There will be lots of Choinkwiches, unusually topped ice cream cones, and, hopefully, opera singing from the truck window.  If you're on Twitter, be sure to follow biggayicecream to find out where we're going to be.  You can also follow me, OperaKitty to find out what days I will be out and about with the boys!
